Join Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce for a 1/2 mile hike through the haunted woods of Fort Defiance. You never know what you might find, or what might find you! Fright Hike is held annually the Saturday prior to Halloween in Fort Defiance State Park. This haunted hike through the woods is fun for all ages! $5 per person to take this scary jaunt. A very unique haunted experience that can’t be found anywhere else in NW Iowa! You are requested to park at the Shelter house and in the campground. Entrance to Fright Hike is on the Ranger Station House Road just west of the shelter. Contact Estherville Chamber for additional information on this event and others!
