This camera is located [here] in the heart of Okoboji facing South-Southwest and overlooking the Okoboji crossing a strait (waterway) connecting West Lake Okoboji and East Lake Okoboji. In this view, West Lake Okoboji is on the right and East Lake Okoboji is on the left. All boats crossing between the lakes can be seen in this view. On the right is the Highway 71 bridge between Arnolds Park and Okoboji, Iowa. On the left is the historic Okoboji Bridge which is now a biking and walking path. Built in 1860, this was formerly a railroad crossing and facilitated early colonization of Okoboji.
