Great Dad, We lost our Dad this week after a month-long illness, Jack Stowell. He taught us to water ski on East Okoboji when we stayed at Gregeson's Resort in Jr. High. Then he moved the family to Triboji Beach on West Lake and we all graduated from Spirit Lake High School. He was a coach, referee, principal, Okoboji View owner, great Dad and husband and grandpa. The Iowa Rock 'n Roll Museum and Iowa Great Lakes Maritime Museum are working together on exhibits to celebrate the 85th Anniversary of the Roof Garden Ballroom. Monday, November 24, 2008 at 9:41 AM Just got back from a great weekend at our home in Okoboji. Beautiful snow fell Friday evening, and everything was dusted in white. West Okoboji lake is still moving but slowly and the canal is starting to ice over. I love the quiet and beauty.
