Char Cooklin was born in Minnesota graduated from high school in Iowa and received her cosmetology license at La James College of Cosmetology in 1975. while working in the cosmetology field for years and running her own business in Iowa and Seattle ,Washington , she saw the possibilities of permanent make-up for both reconstructive and cosmetic purposes and has become highly educated in both art and science of micro-pigmentation. In 1999 from Permanent Choices in Alameda, California and continued her advanced training in 2011 in Palm Desert at Scar Treatment Recovery Center as a Demographic technician with Guadalupe Ponte, a licensed nurse and trained at the American Institute of Permanent Color Technology and is a Diplomat of the American Council for Demographic Research.
